Michael Miller has declared his run for the Charleston County Register of Deeds office, after serving five years as a Trustee within the Charleston County School District. As the elected official for the office, the RMC (Register of Mesne Conveyance now known as the Register of Deeds) must assure that all recorded documents comply with the requirements of federal and state recording statutes which are available for public review.
Long before serving on the Charleston County School Board, Michael Miller has been serving the community as a responsible, visible and constant voice of reason. He provided tireless support to the County’s teachers years before becoming a member of the School Board. He continued to advocate for our children by ensuring that there was always adequate responsibility and transparency.
As a member of the West Ashley Revitalization Commission since August 2016, Miller has gained vital knowledge and experience working with documentation related to property transactions in Charleston County. While serving on the communication subcommittee, he has addressed issues of gentrification and foreseeable heirs property concerns.
Michael’s service to the greater Charleston property community will be no different than his service to our students, teachers and taxpayers. His mission as Register of Deeds is to provide information that could enhance property knowledge of all our residents.
Michael Miller has been your voice at the School District, and is now working to become your voice as Register of Deeds.
